Hi,
Please see attached. Knowledge Base Update error. Will the latest device update of 3.2 be compatible with 3.1? Maybe this is causing the exception? Any ideas?
LMS 3.1 Windows 2003 Server.

This is CSCsl44337 which is fixed in LMS 3.2. Device updates alone will not fix this. You need to upgrade to LMS 3.2 (which will include RME 4.3 which contains the fix).

Hey thanks Joe,
This error can be reproduced by goto RME->Admin->Software Management->Update Knowledge Base
It tries to access ftp.cisco.com looking for files in the cw2000/essentials/swim-kb directory. (the path might be incorrect). However the files have last been updated since 2001 and doesnt seem to be applicable to upgrading the firmware.
Is that option under the RME necessary or is it being used in 3.2 and later releases i.e. the fix you mentioned which will allow to update the knowledge base?

No, updating the knowledge base is not required to use SWIM, but this function is fixed in LMS 3.2.
