Hi,
We have one remote office is uisng FXS module (VIC3-4FXS/DID) to connect to their fax machine. The issue is sometimes they have problem to send out or receive the fax, sometimes they only can receive around 30% fax document from customer. The problem is inconsistance.
We use the CUCM 6.1 to set it up, are there any configuration I should add in CUCM or router could resolve this issue? Or how to do the troubleshooting?
Thanks. Leo

Plug an analog phone to the FXS port and try to see if you can make a clean call. Make sure you have the ring-back tone over the FXS port. Also do " show controller T1/E1" and see if you have any slip errors.

Thanks for the reply, but we don't have IT guy and any analog phone on sites.
We have E1 in this site and user said on problem with the phone call and we resume the E1 is fine. I changed the fax mode from relay to pass through at CUCM, but still no luck. Any other ideas?
Thanks.

"Show controller e1" is the first command that you need to use in order to troubleshoot this issue. Make sure you don't have slip errors under the controller. This is a common issue and most of the time is a Network Clocking issue.
