How to access 2650XM router using Aux port

Hi all,

i have 2650xm router and i want to access the router using Aux port.

Here is config of aux port

line aux 0
password 7 03005
login
modem InOut
transport input all
flowcontrol hardware
.

Please let me know which cable i need to connect aux port to my Internal modem which is on laptop.

Hi Mahesh,

Genrally your internal modem dials to connect to aux port configration of router,so your configuration at router end matters for AUX port.

check out the below link for detailed aux port configuration and as per your query the diagram explains.

Hi Mahesh,

Try configure below config for aux port

line aux 0
exec-timeout 0 0
password cisco
modem InOut
transport input all
stopbits 1
speed 38400
flowcontrol hardware
line 1/0 1/7
modem InOut
transport input all
autoselect ppp
flowcontrol hardware
