Cisco 2811 Router Multiple WAN Links

Hello,

I'm looking into possibilities for optimizing WAN utilization specifically for web browsing purposes for an organization that currently has a single wan leased line 8/8Mbps. My question is would it be possible to setup a few dsl lines and have IOS manage the traffic. My idea is to push all http traffic over two or three link aggregated (load balanced) dsl lines and free up the primary leased line for more critical services such as email, vpn, etc..

Many thanks for any assistance.

Hello Sina,

You could use the 2811 router to do Policy Based Routing to direct some of your traffic (http) to your DSL and the rest to your other circuit.  But I think if you are just looking for better performance and not necessarily for a backup circuit and/or redundancy, then it may be more economical to your customer to get a WAN Optimizer Appliance and use the existing circuit without accruing additional monthly cost for DSL.
