UCCX call monitor/recording with IP Communicator

Hi All,

Is there a possibility to use call monitor/recording in CSD while the agent phone is IP communicator?

It has no problem with hard phone but when I switch agent phone to IP communicator it doesn't work.


I have this problem too.

We are using both (soft phones and ip phones)  everething works fine. Maybe theris something wrong with your configuration

I have attached some Nic card in

fo. we monitor alot here both with hard and softphones...my experience seems to show its

more than NIC cards, it more of the PC hardware that makes this work.

After checking the documents also make sure IP communicator is configured in the followng way


- Make sure on the agent PC - under Ip communicator - preference - network - Device name is set to use "Use network apapter to generate device name"

- Under the above setting Select the active NIC card of the work station ( this should match with VOIP monitor service in postinatll of the work station )

- On CUCM IP communicator configuration page make sure the device name is the one what is generated in the above step
