Hi All,
we are using unity connection 2.1 with SMTP notification. the problem is, our smtp server is offsite and need authentication to allow incoming SMTP traffic. I don't see anything in unity connection SMTP authentication. it only has SMTP IP address. I know with CUE, we can specify SMTP authentication.
thanks for any suggestion.

Alex,
When you setup SMTP notifications in unity connection, you need to supply a smart host, which technically doesn't need to be an SMTP server. A smart host is used to relay smtp messages. I do not see anything in the smart host configuration for unity connection which allows you to send authentication. Perhaps you can use an SMTP relay service, here is one I found http://www.dnsexit.com/Direct.sv?cmd=mailRelay. I also found a guide on how to use the IIS service in windows as a smart host here http://support.microsoft.com/?id=kb;en-us;Q230235.
