when associating a service profile, does it verify total capacity availabilty

I tried to associate a service profile, it reports an error "insufficient-resources,vnic-capacity."  Does it verify overcommitment of resouces againist physical capability when associating ? what checks are done during this task.

The insufficient resources during association is specific to the blade or blade pool your trying to associate too.  Before association can complete successfully many of the profile attributes are checked against the available resource your trying to associate too.  This would include the number of network interfaces, number of hba interfaces as well as some of the policy definitions such as Disk policy.

Specific to your insufficient-resources,vnic-capacity error message, Menlo based adapters can only support 2 vNICS, also if you only happen to have one fabric interconnect you cannot have Hardware Failover enabled or it will generate that message.
