Unity to Avaya G3 digital PIMG integration

We have a customer with a G3, trying to do a digital PIMG integration, and configure PBX ports per Cisco document.  The option to set LWC Reception field to msa is not available.

My understanding is that msa option is only available if Mode Code Interface is enabled on the PBX, although this is only listed as a requirement for analog integrations, not digital.

I have found a post on an Avaya forum that indicates msa may not be required.  Anyone here can confirm that?

You will probably need mode code enabled on the G3s.  And for this, I think Avaya charges (1) arm and (1) leg to enable this....  

Have you tried it without the Mode code enabled?   I believe the mode code carries the information about Call foward no answer, etc.  (Caller ID information also)

There might be some old posts from me on this circa 2004/2005 maybe.
