Hi all,
We're connecting two aggregation routers together using zx optics to one of the ports on each 7206's G1 Card. The connection is across about 25 miles or so of dark fiber.
When first plugged in there was no love on either end, ok that's fine, so I set both sides to no negotiation auto, and both sides came up. Connected at 1000Mb full duplex...
However, I'm getting substantial packet loss. Enough to cause my ospf neighbor to flap repeatedly. I'd say it's about 60-70% packet loss on average. Any ideas? I am receiving input CRCs on one side and output CRCs on the other. I've already tried swapping out the GBIC on the side sending the errors to no avail. I'm seeing a -10dB on one side and a -6dB on the other.
Thanks!

Hi Andrew,
Are you using single mode fiber with single mode GBIC?

I added a 7db pad to both receives and my link is happy. I guess it was a little too hot.
Thanks!
