Not sure of the question here .  It's as simple as checking to see if there is enough space in flash for your new image, do a "dir flash: " . Is the reported free space bigger than the image size you are trying to put on ? If no then you will have to delete at least 1 image to make room for the new image. Then issue "copy tftp flash: "  , it will ask you your address of the tftpserver , input , it will then ask you the name of the image  just copy and paste the name of the image in there and hit enter a couple of times and it should go if there is enough space in flash which verified with the "dir flash:  command.   The image name you posted is not a valid imagename , check the imagename and try to download the valid imagename again.

Tom,

Your question is not very clear but if you are asking whether it is OK to delete the old IOS from the FLASH and download a new one, then yes - this is OK. I would still recommend backing up the old IOS just in case you will need to revert back.

Best regards,

Peter

Why don't you just get a new CF?  Make sure it's <2Gb and format the CF before you put any IOS into it.
