Dear all gurus,
For Cisco CallMananger, does it have any similar functions as PBX's"station specific authorization code"??
Cheers,

CUCM has FAC and CMC, not sure if that's what you want
The Features And Services guide available on CCO has all the info on those features

Hello Java,
But how to make those features station specific?? As in, how do u restrict the FAC & CMC only work on 1 phone but not other users phones??
Cheers,
Hunt

You don't. Any FAC or CMC code is valid on any route pattern that requires it; they are not device-specific.

Hunt,
You can do this by following Java's recommendation, but here's a little more detail (all on CCO):
Create a new partition
create a new CSS
assign new CSS to station that you want to use FAC on
copy existing route pattern, assign to new PT
This should give yout he desired result, but a little more work is involved

Hi Hunt,
Just to add a little more to the great info from Java,Jonathan and Emilio
We used to use Station Specific Auth Codes on our Nortel Meridian TDM
system. When we moved to CUCM we realised that this feature was not available.
We have not found this to be a big issue, as Auth Codes are generally used for
Billing restriction purposes. Because Toll calls are billed against the FAC code
when used, the overall functionality has basically remained the same.
Cheers!
