Integration Between CallManager 7 and Avaya

I am working on integration between Cisco CM7 and IP Avaya CM 3.

I am facing call ID problem:

I can not see the Name of the person during the call setup. once the call connected the name appears.

in other words: if phone A is cisco Phone Ext.2000. and Phone B Anay IP phone Ex.3000.

If I placed call from A (cisco) to B (Avaya):

On Phone A I will see to 3000 and on Phone B from 2000

once B answer the name will appear

Is there any way to show the name during the call setup??

I did the integration using two methods:

#1 : Define Avaya as H.323 gateway.

#2: E1 connected to 3800 router and the router registered as H.323

What ISDN protocol you are using for the E1 integration?  You may need to utilize QSIG in order to get Alerting name to work.

HTH,

Chris

I am using primay Qsig.

Avaya engineer traced call and he said, cisco does not send Caller ID.

Is there any way to send Caller ID

On the Avaya do you have 2 trunk groups set up one for inbound and one for out bound. on the call

manager set the call party

selection to originator and call party presentation to Allowed. and the

n you should get the call id information from the Avaya and they should see your caller id.

I am not sure if there is two trunk between Avaya and CCM. from my side I configured Avaya as H.323 gateway.

Is there any meaning for two or one trunk??

I will try to set the parameters.

Anyhow I find this:

Q Signaling (QSIG) facility IE  support H.323 has no support for QSIG facility IE; therefore, information  (such as calling name and redirect number) that is carried in the facility IE is  lost. The integration of a QSIG PBX with Cisco IP Telephony requires the use of  MGCP.

It is in: Cisco Voice Gateways and Gatekeepers. Cisco Press

I am not sure if we enable FastStart, can we solve the problem???
