We just got in a batch of new 7942 phones and put the self stick labels on them. The lables only stick for a few minutes and then fall off. Has anyone else seen this? On all our previous phones the labels stick forever.
Sounds like a manufacturing defect. There are a few vendors out there that sell replacement stickers for Cisco IP Phones. CablesandKits is one that comes to mind.
After having the Cisco Account Manger escalate this to the business unit, Cisco revealed they were having an issue with one of their suppliers. They sent out new lables and they worked fine.
It took an entire month and required me to escalate the support call (ticket opened 4/9, replacement stickers recieved 5/14), but we also received replacement labels which, so far, are working fine.
