I have a MSP-1RU server running VSMS and VSOM. I wanted to see what (if any) compelling reasons to use TCP instead of UDP for the cameras. I do not see anything on Cisco's site saying one way or the other. If I had mutliple MSPs then I could use mutlicast/UDP but are there other reasons to use TCP? What is the best practice here?
Thanks

I would use UDP since it is faster because of no error checking compared to TCP.

Hi
There is no reason to use TCP on any real time data. What good is data being resent when
the moment has passed.
Also, If i remember Multi Casting is not supported my CVSM.
