Call Manager Reinstallation

hi

we are having 2 call managers (CCM 4.1) acting as publisher and subscriber.

I need to reinstall Publisher .(AT DC)

when i turn down publisher all ip phones work from subscriber (AT DRC).

if i format publisher and reinstall call manger (as publisher) will i be able to restore all my phone settings from subscriber.

or

can i promote subscriber as publisher ?

please guide me

Hi Pushpak,

You will need a BARS Backup from the Publisher to do a "restore".

There is no method to pull the data across from the Sub or to "promote"

a Sub to Pub. There is only one way to do this

Here is a good doc that has all the info for doing Backups and then restoring on the

newly built box using the .tar file;

Make sure that you have everything you need on hand CCM cd's, OS with proper release,all SR's, Locale files, any custom ringlist or background files, any phone firmware files that have changed since the base install etc. etc. These things should all be kept from build to build just in case.

No, you would need to backup the existing config and restore to the new pub. What is the reason for reinstalling?
