i need to get the back panel off of the spa502g phone but it has specialty screws - star head with center point.  where can i find one these special tools in order to remove the back panel

Please note you should not open the box as it will loose warranty. If you still want to do it, I suggest you go for a hardware store with the phone as we dont provide such specs, but I know there is people who has gone to the HW store and got the driver for it.
