Regarding CCNP New Certification Rules

Unanswered Question
Jan 27th, 2010

Hi,

I have completed my CCNA(640-802) and CCNP routing and switching papers. I am planning to give the remaining two papers ISCW(642-825) and ONT(642-845) in the coming months. Today I came to know that the CCNP certification is going to get revised. I have a couple of doubts regarding this.

1) If I complete the two remaining papers by March 2010 and get CCNP certified. Will this CCNP be outdated compared to the newer one? I mean does it have a deprecated kind of feeling from Cisco end?

2) As I said I have completed 2 CCNP papers now. Say I complete the remaining two papers after the new policy is introduced. Will I still be eligible for CCNP certified?

Thanks in advance for the help.

Subin

I have this problem too.

Thanks Massimiliano. Say I take TSHOOT instead of ISCW and ONT. So there is no need to take the new CCNP routing and switching papers right? i.e. Will my old CCNP BSCI, BCMSN and this new TSHOOT make me CCNP certified? Sorry for the confusion.
