Hi Can anybody tell me ,step by step,how to upgrade IOS

in VG248.Is there anyway to

copy their configuration & download existing IOS before the up

grade for safety.?

Hello,

1-Copy the current IOS image to FTP server

2-Download the new IOS

3-Copy it to VG-248 using FTP using binary mode

4-Make sure the file size is correct

5-Reload the VG-248

Hello Weerakoo69BA,

you can use

dir /all

on the VG248 to see file names and sizes of existing filesystems.

in the same way you can check the size of the file uploaded to the FTP server, you may just need to open a shell go the right path and use dir or ls -ll (linux)

I would suggest to use the verify command to check integrity of new file.
