I have been informed that:
"the Virtual IP address (184.108.40.206) on the wireless controllers, which is used for building mobility tunnels as well as the address used for guest access splash page, is now going to be routable. This is obviously a bad thing, as in the configuration guide it states that this address should not be a routable address. The solution is that you use addresses in the 192.0.2.0/24 subnet, which is a non-routable IP address.”
Please see RFC 5735 for reference.
Has anyone else heard this?
Yes, the IETF is releasing the 220.127.116.11/8 subnet to service providers. Using 18.104.22.168 should only be an issue if your wireless client are trying to access whatever gets assigned the 22.214.171.124 once it is public.
