MRTG - Top n Only!

Hi, group.

Can I utilize MRTG to graph Top n only out of thousands of switch ports? thanks.

You can graph vlans or ports of your choice, you just need to edit the mrtg.conf file and specify there what interfaces you want to monitor.

I am ok and able to pull thousands of switch ports' utilization, but I do not require MRTG to present every single of them, I do hope somehow MRTG could just pick Top n dynamically to feed them into a .cfg file, thus, I would have a real-time snapshot of those Top n switch ports' utilization in our network, which i believe would be very useful. so, is it possible? absolutly. You need to edit the cfg file I mentionned earlier.
