As i told earlier, you could use CVP studio to build java class files. If you still wanted to use a different IDE then you could use:

Eclipse:

http://www.eclipse.org/downloads/

Netbeans:

http://netbeans.org/

These IDE are free, but will not have CVP VXML application development plugins.

You can use the CVP studio to build the Java class files as well. CVP studio is basically an Eclipse IDE with Audium licensed package to build CVP VXML application. Create a JAVA application and you could write JAVA class files.

If you do not have a CVP studio then you need to purchase it from Cisco. The license is tied to the System ID.You can also use the 60 days trail on the CVP studio.

well its important to note that regardless of developing a java class, you still must make at least a small VXML application to launch the class, which you will need CVP studio for anyways.  Get yourself a copy through your company if your planning on doing any serious development work for CVP.
