Syslogging

Has anyone experienced problems changing the logging severity level of a Syslog ID to either raise or lower its level within the ASDM?  I want to log certain activities that are currently set as notification and informational but don't want to log everything at that level.  I thought that I might try changing the severity level of the IDs I want to capture as a work around, any suggestions?  Thank you.

Hi James

what do you want to log here ? Some specific traffic (info or notifications ) ? If so, see if this URL helps you:

http://www.ciscopress.com/articles/article.asp?p=424447&seqNum=3

It basically talks about pruning certain log messages and customizing your log messages.. if you want specific logging from a source to destination, your ASA access-lists can include "log" keyword which can show you similar outputs..

Hope this helps.. all the best
