Hi,
It sounds very basic but I still need some information
Wan connectivities are available from SP ( for internet or non-internet ) in many different forms.
Like T1 : 1.54 mbps or E1 2.00 mbps, These can be broken down in 64 kbps channles each. Channelised E1 or T1 cards are used for these tyes of connectivity.
For leased lines upto 2 mbps : Wic 1-T or Wic 2-T , H-WIC are used.
Similarly what are other service provider interfaces from optical interface (DS3, OC3 Etc ...) are these point to point links or those can be broken down into samll 2 mbps link?
What type of connectivity is required to PA-MC-STM-1SMI card ?
Any document on cisco.com or any other service provider link which can give the details of different hand-off ?
Please share the experience.
Thanks
Subodh.

Hello Subodh,
an STM-1 arrives as a pair of fiber links Single Mode or multi mode.
An E3 is a pair of BNC cables
all these connections are point-to-point.
Channelization refers to use of TDM time domain multiplexing to host a multi level framing structure.
So multiple T1 are carried inside an STM-1.
