How do I repair/replace the 7960 Stand Lock?

The stand no longer holds the phone upright. I can hear that something is loose. How do I remove the stand? (without breaking it)

To remove it, turn the phone over, lay down the stand and then locate the 2 tabs on the stand chassis. The tabs are located at the "bottom" of the stand (the narrow part of the stand) and you use a medium flat blade screwdriver to push them back. They are located about a quater inch from each end.
