snpa and CCSP?

Answered Question

Hi,

I was hoping someone could help me.

I took the SNPA exam before it went out of date as I still needed to use the pix alot.

However I now want to complete my CCSP. I know it still counts as a module (it is stated as such for 3 years after i took it), but I was wondering if it still counts as a prerequisite. Then on top of that can I also take the SNAF cisco ASA foundation module as another prerequisite even though that is the exam that kind of replaces the SNPA?

Many many thanks!

Oh and one last thing, I extended my CCNA two years ago with the SNPA module, I assume it extends it for another 3 years?

Thanks, and hope it makes sense.

Dan.

I have this problem too.

I don't believe SNPA counted as a prerequisite for CCSP. CCNA+SND was the prerequisite and can be used through November 17, 2011. The current prerequisite is CCNA Security. See the following link.

Your CCNA would have been extended 3 years from the date you passed SNPA.

Hope this helps.
