Multicast on a 3560

I know I've seen 3560's that support multicast routing but mine doesn't recognize the command

(config)#ip mu?
% Unrecognized command

Is there a minimum IOS that I'm supposed to have or anything else that is a prereq to a switch supporting multicast?

Does the switch have "ip routing" configured?

All images should support basic L3 operations, including static routes and Multicast.   But you'd have to enable L3 first.

This switch does quite a bit of interVLAN routing, yes L3 is already active

Hi,

You need ipservices image to do multicast.

Ah yup - according to Software Advisor, 12.2(35)SE5 requires IP SERVICES to do Multicast.

Howver, with 12.2(25)SEE4, both will.

Hi,

Sorry, I forget to attach the link in my previous post

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/switches/lan/catalyst3560/software/release/12.2_35_se/configuration/guide/swmcast.html

To use this feature, the switch must be running the IP services image (formerly known as the enhanced multilayer image [EMI]).
