Unanswered Question

Hello

I just passed CCNA exam but I just want to ask

1) Is there a required pattern on how to take the exams in CCNP or you can mix it all as long as you can

finish it all w/ in it's validity?

2)How does the years of validity adds up in passing 1 CCNP exam? is it additional 3 years from the last day

of your CCNA validity (example: 1st exam valid till 2007 + 3 yrs =2010 another CCNP +3 yrs= 2013 and so on)

or it will adds up just another 3 yrs since the day you exam ..

Can anyone help me clarify.

cheers

I have this problem too.

Hi,

For taking CCNP there is no required pattern you can take any of the four module from CCNP at any fashion but cisco has provided some flexibilty like combo exam in ccnp for routing and switching both at single shot.

yes if you clear one of  any 642 - XXX professional levelthen ccna certificate will be renewed.

Thanks Ganesh for the reply and my answer in question number 1 is clearly answered

but I need more information in number 2 questions. I understand it will be renewed but

what imeant is how does the validity get renewed .. Does it add at the end of your validity

for CCNA like exmaple passing CCNA in 2007 will be valid till 2010.. but when you take a

CCNP it will add up another 3 yrs (so... 2010+3yrs=2013)

or

example CCNA passed on 2007 but u take CCNP 2008 (so.. 2008+3yrs=2011).

Please assist me on this.

Thanks again

example CCNA passed on 2007 but u take CCNP 2008 (so.. 2008+3yrs=2011).

You assumption here is correct.  The day you pass you last CCNP exam, the clock starts for 3 years. Then after 3 years you just take one exam to renew it.
