I have a network with at least 20 GK registered to two DGK. In each GK are register 15-20 GW equipped with FXS card, connected to the local PBX. In this way I can use all phone connected to these PBX and with 4 to 8 lines I can redirect traffic trough the wan. On each GK are registered all the dial-peer assigned to those FXS port.

so-suc#show gatekeeper endpoints

CallSignalAddr  Port  RASSignalAddr   Port  Zone Name         Type    Flags

--------------- ----- --------------- ----- ---------         ----    -----  1720  64379 GK_2315_SUC-CENTR VOIP-GW

    E164-ID: 2315

    H323-ID: GW_2315_SUC-CENTRO

   Voice Capacity Max.=  Avail.=  Current.= 0

But the FXO interfaces are not registered; for this reason I can’t not reach these dial-peers remotely. I found that just de FXS interface is capable of register with the GK. What I need is some idea of how can I do reachable from different zones the dial-peers configured to user the port of the FXO card. Any help is appreciated.

I have this problem too.

Hi , could you please explain it for me in details, I have similar problem

I have 3 routers, R1 is the GK

interface FastEthernet0/0
  bandwidth 10000
  ip address
  ip virtual-reassembly
  no ip mroute-cache
  duplex auto
  speed auto
  no cdp enable

  zone local zone1
  zone local zone2
  zone prefix zone1 01...
  zone prefix zone2 02...
  gw-type-prefix 1#* default-technology
  no shutdown

Routers R2 and R3 has two IP phones and FXO connected to PBX
Configs similar for R2 and R3

interface FastEthernet0/0
  ip address
  no ip mroute-cache
  speed auto
  no cdp enable
  h323-gateway voip interface
  h323-gateway voip id zone1 ipaddr 1719
  h323-gateway voip h323-id zone1
  h323-gateway voip bind srcaddr
voice-port 2/0
  cptone RU
  timeouts wait-release 5
  station-id name 1
  station-id number 01000
voice-port 2/1
  cptone RU
  timeouts wait-release 5
  station-id name 1
  station-id number 01001
dial-peer voice 11 pots
  destination-pattern 01...
  port 2/0
dial-peer voice 12 pots
  destination-pattern 01...
  port 2/1
dial-peer voice 02 voip
  destination-pattern 02...
  session target ras

sh gatekeep endpoi  showa only ip phones (eFXS)

First of all forgive me for my English.

The idea is make each gateway with one or more FXO the default gateway for a technology prefix.

In my case is only one gateway so any call that reach this Gatekeeper is transfer to the Gateway, without the need to dial de prefix.

In my case I add to the gateway configuration in the interface:

h323-gateway voip tech-prefix 1#

And in my Gatekeeper configuration:

gw-type-prefix 1#* default-technology

In any case tell me if this configuration works for you, because you can try to define static aliases, but I think in the case that your network grow that is not a good option.

Best Regard.
