Hello,

The users can not change the passwords if they are connected to the WI-FI. They must connect to the wired network and change the password to access the WIFI.

The Domain Server is W2008.
Controller: WLC4402 Software 4.0.219.0

Somebody know an explanation to this fact...

Thank you very much.

S.

what kind of security you have configured for this WLAN?

  • Base de datos de usuario:

Ø  Active Directory de Microsoft W2008 Server

  • Authentication Server RADIUS

Ø  Windows Server 2003 Standard Edition

  • Authentication Method

    Ø  802.1x con EAP Protegido (PEAP) y MS-CHAP-v2

  • Supplicant 802.1x

Ø  Windows XP

  • Encryption method

Ø  WPA TKIP

Ø  WPA2 TKIP

Thank you.

Our company's wireless network configuration is very similiar to yours, I use PEAP/MSCHAPv2 connect to the corporate WLAN and join the AD, I can change my AD account password with the wireless connection without any problem. There's nothing from Cisco's WLC/AP to prevent the client to change his AD account password, so I suggest you to ask a microsoft engineer to check if any policy had been configured in AD(for example Wireless access policy) to prevent the client changing password when using wireless connection.
