Hi Brian

We have not seen any DTMF issues with Skype for SIP recently - this was reported earlier with resolution as below - can you check these and see:

https://www.myciscocommunity.com/docs/DOC-10787#comment-3084

https://www.myciscocommunity.com/message/29180#29180

The one outstnading DTMF issue we are aware off on the UC500 SIP trunks is below but I think this is not an issue with Skype as they do not use Sonus GWs:

http://tools.cisco.com/Support/BugToolKit/search/getBugDetails.do?method=fetchBugDetails&bugId=CSCtd68173

This is seen in 8.0.0 SW pack and a fix SW Pack is scheduled to come out end of Feb / early Mar. If you need a private build for 8.0.0, PM me your cisco.com user ID and current platform / version.

Hi Guys,

Spoke with Skype support today and they have told me this:

Mihkel - Skype Support says

Good. Check that your SIP-enabled PBX is configured to use RFC 2833 (sometimes described as ‘out of band’) DTMF with Skype for SIP Beta.
17:07:07 Mihkel - Skype Support says
Also, Skype recommends that your SIP-enabled PBX uses RTP Payload Type 101 for the SIP message’s telephone-event.
Can anyone help me with this?
Thanks
Brian

The answer is UC500 does use RFC2833 for DTMF with payload type 101 - if you have a wireshark capture for a failed call with DTMF then I can exactly point out where this shows up in there so you can send to Skype.
