Hi

We added new device to our network but device discovery cant determine the type of device

in DFM I can see only

IP_address Unknown N/A N/A

i did all updates but without any help

What version of LMS do you have? What is the sysObjectID of this switch? Have you configured the proper SNMP credentials for the switch in DCR?

LMS is still 2.6, snmp is configured ok (i can do a snmp walk)

from linux server running MRTG:

snmpwalk -Os -c public -v 2c IP_address 1.3.6.1.2.1.1.2
sysObjectID.0 = OID: enterprises.9.1.1016

This is a fairly new switch. In order for RME 4.0.6 to support it, you need Cat2960 package 3.3. To get this, go to Common Services > Software Center > Device Update. Check the boxes next to RME and Common Services, and download and install ALL available updates.
