Outgoing Number Translation

Hello,

I am trying to translate all outgoing calls in a remote office to one number and keep getting an error in the translation pattern (numbers changed to protect the dumb).

Router1(config-translate)#rule 1  /9.*/ /5555551234/
Incorrect format for Translation Match Pattern
regular expression must be of the form  ^(\^)?(\+)?([0-9,A-F.*%?#]+)$

Invalid match pattern string input /9.*/

Am I going about this wrong?

Just checking that you need to use a "voice translation-rule" rather than the standard "translation-rule" to make this work.

try

rule 1  /9.\*/ /5555551234/

Unfortunately that did not work either.

Mr. Mark Batts you sir are the winner!

*sigh*

All is well now.  Thanks!

Perhaps this is a silly question, but why not let the Dial-Peer strip off that digit?  A pots dial-peer will strip off the digits used to match by default.  What does your dial-peer look like?
