I have a server cluster, which have virtual ip. The private vip is statically natted on the ASA with a public ip. A host from the internet will initiate traffic toward the publicly natted vip, then eventually, packet will reach the private vip. However, when a cluster replies, it will use the physical private ip address of the primary server, which is different from the private vip (cluster ip).
ASA seemed to be able to handle that ok. My question is, when a packet destined to a vip while the host evetually replied with a physical ip - which is a different ip, why ASA allows that?
