Fabric Manager : snmpd: Another copy operation in progress

Unanswered Question

Hi,

I have actually a problem with Fabric Manager when trying to activate a zoneset in one of my MDS9513 switch.

I receive an error message saying : snmpd: Another copy operation in progress.  Only one operation allowed at any instance

Our support recommand me to do a switch-over of the supervisor module, but my client quite on the nerve about this, and i would like to know if there is another way of getting this issue resolved without trying anything risky with the switch ?

Thanks for your help,

When you attempt an activation from FM, after performing the activation FM does a copy of the running config to startup config. So in this case although your activation will go through successfully, but you will get this error when FM is trying to copy the configuration. This is purely cosemtic and doing a system switchover will not be the fix.

Are you using standalone FM or FM server ? I recommend you rediscover the Fabric and restart FM services.

Thanks,
