Hi,
I know there is a way to source a ping from the internal interface of an ASA or Pix firewall but cannot remember the commands. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi,
Enter the following command for extended ping from firewallas source interface and define the destination ip and following parameters in extended ping command.
Firewall# ping
Interface: DMZ
Target IP address:
Repeat count: [5]
Datagram size: [100]
Timeout in seconds: [2]
Extended commands [n]: y
Verbose? [no]:
Validate reply data? [no]:
Data pattern [0xabcd]:
Sweep range of sizes [n]:
