It's the stable power used.

Output for a power cube is 48v, 0.38A

Initial startup power via a PoE switch is 15.4W, however after the phone has booted and CDP kicks in it drops to 6.3W as this is what it 'requests' via CDP. You can test this easily by looking at the output of the command 'show power inline' after disconnecting and reconnecting the 7960 (or disabling the port or PoE via the CLI). Repeat the command several times to see the PoE changes.

Can someone advise me if the 6.3 Watts listed for the 7960G is the start up figure or the stable use requirement. Also, can anyone tell me how many watts are required by a power cube require to deliver this level to the phone on a steady state basis.
