Hi,
is there a possibility to modify/ configure the sender mail address for ACS 4.1.3 event notifications from csmon service?
Unfortunately is csmon@ip-address and those mails are blocked by the mailserver.
regards,
Rocco

Hi JG,
thanks for your fast reply. I will try to explain the problem we have,
our customer has ACS 4.1.3.12 and uses csmon to send email notifications. All worked well until he changed the recipient mail address to a new one.
Since this minor change the csmon nnotifications will be blocked by the mail server because of an unsupported format.
normally he received the mails with csmon@auth5 where auth5 is the name of the ACS after changing the recipient mails will arrive at the mailserver with csmon@134.247.222.12 where 134.247.222.12 is the ip address of the mailserver. It is crazy, isn't it?
DNS resolution still works well on ACS(also Reverse Lookup). Have you got an idea?
Thank in advance.
Rocco

Hi Roco,
In latest versions (4.x), the From field or the Mailsender is derived from the SMTP server name configured on the service management page.( i.e. mail comes from csmon_alert@ (SMTP mail server configured) .And this is not configurable.
When you upgrade from 3.3 to 4.x versions, you will see that the Mailsender configuration is retained as the server hostname ( csmon_alert@
To return to the defaut 4.x behaviour (sender name as the SMTP server configured ), we need to just submit the "ACS Service management" page once.
So that is why after making a change, it started using smpt server name (default behaviour)
