AnyConnect SSL VPN client agent failed to launch

I have a users PC that gets the following messages when trying to launch locally installed client...

"The VPN client agent failed to launch the client's user interface application" & "The VPN client driver has encountered an error"

AnyConnect VPN client ver 2.3.2016 installed on an XP machine. Have tried deleting and re-installing the client but the same messages appear.

I know this is an old issue but i experienced it today on my own laptop. I automatically remove the client after the session so i had nothing to uninstall..

my resolution was to install the client manually, and then re-run the anyconnect setup via the browser and everything came up.

Hopefully if someone gets the same issue again this will help.
