Sometimes AP's don't accept clients, no error logging

Hello,

We use AIR-LAP-1242AG-E-K9 ap's and WLC 4.2.176.0

Sometimes I have access points who do not accept clients, you also can't see the AP with a wireless sniffer....

When I reboot the AP, it's working fine again !!!

In the WLC the AP and radio's are up, and no error messages I could find so far ...

Anyone who has/had the same problem ?

Have you turned on AP logging from the WLC?

>config ap logging syslog level ?

alerts         Logging severity level 1.
critical       Logging severity level 2.
debugging      Logging severity level 7.
emergencies    Logging severity level 0.
errors         Logging severity level 3.
informational  Logging severity level 6.
notifications  Logging severity level 5.
warnings       Logging severity level 4.
(Cisco Controller) >config ap logging syslog level alerts ?

Enter the name of the Cisco AP.
all            Applies the settings to all APs.
(Cisco Controller) >config ap logging syslog level alerts all?
all
(Cisco Controller) >config ap logging syslog level alerts all

All the logs will then be sent to the syslog server in the WLC settings

Problem is, we have 300 AP's... and sometimes one of them is having this problem....

Any idea, if I do this, what I should be looking for ? because this will be a really a lot of data ....

Do you have any idea how many clients were already associated to a particular AP before the same AP will refuse to take additional clients?

By default on the 4.X, the Max Client association is set to 25 (max is 75).

Max 15 clients.... we have a nice density of AP's ;-)

Do you have aggressive load balancing enabled on the controller?
