how to add layer 2 vlan in switch using cisco works

Hi ,

We typed following command on config mode in Netconfig mode

exit

vlan database

vlan 600

vlan 603

end

and this one give us error " Unexpected end of configuration file".

We tried to remove "end" command from the configuration but still same problem exists.

Any help would be appricated.

just a quick thought, but I think the first command is the problem, "exit" will kick you out;

you do not need to setup the job in "config mode", you can select the "enable mode" and remove the "exit" command from the template

Hi,

We are getting following error :

Command(s) failed on the device TELNET: Failed to establish TELNET connection to 10.X.X.X - Cause: Authentication failed on device 3 times. TFTP: Tftp is supported only for config mode commands.

Because we are using TACAS and Token for authentication.

With tokens, it depends how the policy/lifetime of the Token is. When you setup the job, you should have the possibility (if it is not disabled by the admin) to explicitely set the user and password that will be used for the job. If the token is valid for only one login, you have to setup a new job for each device...
