I am very Confused regarding port density regarding Cisco Linksys SRW2048

The comparison matrix refers SRW2048 has 48 10/100/1000 ports and 2 Shared Ports

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/ps9967/prod_models_comparison.html

The data sheets refers that it has

48 RJ-45 connectors for 10BASE-T, 100BASE-TX and 1000BASE-T with 4 shared Small Form-Factor Pluggable (SFP) slots

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/prod/collateral/switches/ps5718/ps9967/ps9991/data_sheet_c78-502271.html

Whereas the picture on the datasheet refers that it has 48 10/100/1000 with 4 SFP ports only

Hello Ashar,

4 mini Gigabit Interface Converter (mini-GBIC) ports for fiber or copper interconnections = SFP

as reported in the datasheet

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/prod/collateral/switches/ps5718/ps9967/ps9991/data_sheet_c78-502271.html

it has 48 10/100/1000 RJ-45 ports and 4 ports where you can install SFP, they are four and not two.

That's all

Hope to help

Giuseppe
