Hello,
I have to register an IVR as a SIP endpoint on CME and assign it 30 DN's. Is it possible to register third-party SIP endpoint on CME? How many DN's can assign to one SIP endpoint on CME?
Regards.

Yes, it is possible. If you can summarize the numbers in a pattern, there is no limit to the DNs.

Hi,
If i can't summarize DN's in a pattern, what will be the limit?
Thanks.

Daniel,
You can add 3rd party SIP phones to CME. I had to do this recently and I did a write up on it here:
The max number of DNs you can assign is more a function of the 3rd party device/software and the license you have. I am primarily testing soft phones. With X-Lite, you can only have a single line with the "free" version but can have multiple lines with the "pro" version.
I am not sure what limits CME imposes on the maximum number of lines you can assign to a SIP device. Based on this doc:
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucme/command/reference/cme_n1ht.html#wp1011663
You can define up to 10 "number" tags for each SIP register pool. Which I believe correlates to a a max of 10 DNs for a SIP device. The maximum DNs available on the system is controlled by the "max-dn" command under the "voice register global" configuration stanza.
HTH.
Regards,
Bill
