Solved: ATA 186 -> FAX conf

Hi everyone,

I have gone through many blogs but couldnt find the one which i needed here.My setup looks like this

FAX machine -> ATA 186 -> CUCM 7.0 -> hh323 gateway ->PRI .

The problem is when i connect analog phones to one of the ports of ATA , got dial tone, can speak to other end ,works good but when i connect fax machine to the same port , getting dial tone , not able to send/receive fax.Looks strange for me.

Looking for your guys..

Check the settings on the fax machine, make sure error correction is off, you will probably also have to turn the speed down on the fac machine to less than 14.4, we have even had to go 9600 to make sure longer faxes make it through.
