Hi,
I have following setup in production.
1.Cat 6509 having IOS 12.2(18)SXF8
2.WiSM module installed in slot 8 (Ver: 5.2.157.0)
The setup is working smoothly , I am able to manage the WiSM module through GUI, Module console but not through Session Slot 8 Processor 1 and 2 command.
Attaching the outputs and errors..........
#session slot 8 processor 1
The default escape character is Ctrl-^, then x.
You can also type 'exit' at the remote prompt to end the session

% Connection timed out; remote host not responding
#sh module

I remembered reading a bug in the 5.2.157.0 about this. Can you avoid using the 5.X? It's known to be bug-ridden.

I have searched the related BUG but nothing related found. Do you have the bug ID?

I have the same problem on version 4.2.205.0. I haven't consoled into the WiSM locally yet, but the session should work before setting up intial configs.

Have you found any solution?

Yes, my solution was to remove the ip telnet source-interface Loopback0 command. Then it worked.
