Cisco Call Manager v7 - Corporate Directory Display

Hello,

The Corporate Directory displays the user names as follows:

Last Name, First Name

I would like to change it to the following format:

First Name, Last Name

There is a workaround which is exchanging the First Name field by the Last Name field in the End User configuration. Besides this, is there any other easier solution?

Thanks,

Pedro Martinho

The directory is a XML file hosted on CUCM server.  However, since it's a locked down box, there's no easy way to modify it.  The solution would be host your customized XML file on your own web server (such as Microsoft IIS).  Then change CUCM Enterprise Parameters > URL Directory to put to your XML.

Hi Michael, do you have an example of that XML file?, if yes, can you share it or provide some link to create this XML file for the corporate directory.

Thanks a lot

David

If you go to developer.cisco.com, you can browse to the IP Telephony section and download the IPPhoneServices SDK.  That includes a number of XML-based services that can be put on the phone as is, or customized for your needs.  One of those services is called Multidirectory, and is designed to allow you to limit the scope of the directory (so a user can only see users within his/her department).  However, it would be fairly simple to modify this to rearrange the format of the directory listing.  The service itself is an .asp application that builds the XML file when called and sends it to the phone's XML browser.

Hi

If you are LDAP integrated, you can use this directory service I put together. It's easily customisable to swap round the names in the output.
