Controller-based access points conversion

Q:

I’ve the 1140 AP (LAP) flavor; can I convert it to Standalone access points?

If yes can you please explain how and if you have documentation that will be great.

You can convert the AP from autonomous AP (aAP) to light-weight AP (LWAP) and vice versa.  It all boils down to the IOS you run.
