CCNA Voice to CCVP?

Unanswered Question
Feb 28th, 2010

Hello Experts,

I have my CCNA but am looking into the voice track. My question is, after CCNA Voice, do I  head straight to the CCVP track, or is CCNP more important? Is there a new for voice guys/gals in the Northeast?

Also, should I go for CVOICE or IIUC for CCNA Voice?

I'm trying to get feedback as to which will assist me in getting a position in networking. I've been Help Desk too long.

Thank you,

Mark Nashe

I have this problem too.

There is a lot of demand for Cisco voice engineers, so CCVP might be slightly more in demand, but having the core networking knowledge associated with the CCNP is a good foundation for voice engineers.

Either will be of value, but I might go for the CVOICE exam, to get CCNA Voice, then NP, then VP.  CVOICE gives you a broader introduction to voice, I think, than IIUC.
