Automatic logoff of agents after period of idle activity

Unanswered Question

I would like idle agents to be logged out of UCCX after two hours of no activity.  Is there a way to do this?

I have this problem too.

CAD inactivity only, or inactivity within their whole computer?  This is a slippery slope my friend.

Hey Anthony,

This is for CAD and IPPA.  Is there a way to do this?

I don't agree with auto logging agents out, but if your project calls for such a thing, then yes, there is a way.

You could setup an action for each of the agent states (ready, not ready, etc) and call activities (answered, drop, etc), and this action could launch an external app that keeps track of timestamps, sleeps, and finally sends keystrokes to CAD to logout the agent.  don't forget to have it select a reason code, or it wont complete.  I think at a minimum you would need two wscript files to handle this.  One to update the timestamp, and one to read it and sleep before sending the keystrokes.

There is a sleep function built into CDA, but I have not seen it work very well.  It generally has a tendency to freeze CAD for the duration it's sleeping, which is not good.
