Hello,
I would like to know if TODAY (let's say with my 1841 router in 12.4(15)T5) it was possible for a router to act as DHCP server regarding the IP address pool but to forward another options (like dns, WINS) to another DHCP server ?
The only I have found which can be nice is DHCP server Option import ( => http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/ios/12_2/ip/configuration/guide/1cfdhcp.html#wp1009276) but it requires another interface to be configured with 'ip address dhcp').
I doubt it is possible without using this scenario but it would be nice if someone can confirm me (or invalidate) this.
Thanks a lot.
Karim

Hi Ganesh,
Thanks for your answer.
My question is in fact :
Can a routeur (1841 in the IOS version) be at the same time DHCP server (for example for ip addresses) and DHCP relay for other options (dns, wins) on the same interface WITHOUT using the 'import all' command under dhcp-pool config mode along with the 'ip address dhcp' in another interface.
Thank you very much for your help.
Regards.
Karim
Hi Karim,
"Import all" feature is used to allow configuration information to be updated automatically.Network administrators can configure one or more centralized DHCP servers to update specific DHCP options within the DHCP pools. The remote servers can request or "import" these option parameters from the centralized servers.
Check out the below link on breif configuration of import all feature usage and hope that clears your query also !!
