MARS & non-cisco kit

Unanswered Question

folks

i have two queries

1.

- i've a range of kit i have to log to a mars install, i.e. citrix netscaler, juniper idp & firewall, f5, bluecoat etc but i've been told that mars will no longer
  support non-cisco kit soon

i find this hard to believe bearing in mind the global nature of security kit

has anyone heard anything similar or more importantly seen any documentation to this effect

2.

- the folks installing MARS have asked for an account on my firewalls to allow MARS to ssh directly onto the box

my belief was that i could simply syslog to MARS

do i need to create an ssh account & if so why?

thanks to anyone taking the time to respond or to read this

greatfully appreciated

I have this problem too.

Hi,

Answer №1.

All new device types (which not supported by Cisco MARS) must create by yours hands and head. )))))

Remember, not only device types but correlations rules too)))

Its very funny, believe me.
